Is the 2003-2009 Dodge Ram pod Gray or Taupe?

The factory MOPAR manufacturer color for the interior of a 2003-2009 Dodge Ram is Taupe. The Taupe color is found to be described by customers as a Gray/Tan mixture, Gray and Tan. This is why you will notice some of our listings will list the item...

My vehicle has a grab handle on the A-Pillar, can I keep it?

This pod is a complete replacement. Therefore you will need to remove your existing pillar and grab handle.

What gauges would you suggest for a 2003-2009 24v Diesel Dodge Ram?

The most commonly selected gauges for this type of vehicle are 60 PSI Boost Gauge, 1500 Exhaust Temperature Gauge, Transmission Temperature Gauge and or 30 PSI Fuel Pressure Gauge.

What Boost gauge should I select for my 2003-2009 Dodge Ram Cummins application?

We recommend the 0-60 PSI Boost Only Gauges for the diesel application. The reason we suggest this reading is some trucks with modifications can see an upwards of 30-40+ pressure of boost.

My Boost Bolt is labeled as a Dodge Ram 6.7L, and I have a 5.9L. Can I still use this?

The 6.7L Boost Bolt is compatible with both the 6.7L, as well as the 5.9L.

How do I install a fuel pressure gauge on a 2007.5-2009 6.7L Dodge Ram Cummins?

The 2007.5-2009 Dodge Ram’s with the 6.7L Cummins still use a filter housing that has Banjo fittings available. The Glowshift 24v Banjo/Snubber combo adapter will work best when installing a fuel pressure gauge to your 2007.5-2009 6.7L Cummins...

Is there any other way to install the Fuel Pressure Gauge besides using the Banjo Bolt?

Yes, you can also install our fuel pressure with our big line kit too. Here is the link to the part on our site. 1998.5-2007 Dodge Ram 5.9L Cummins Fuel Pressure Big Line Kit 2007.5-2009 Dodge Ram 6.7L Cummins Fuel Pressure Big Line Kit

Why is a Snubber Valve needed on a 2003-2009 (24 Valve) Dodge Diesel?

GlowShift's 1/8-27 NPT Fuel Pressure Snubber Valve regulates, normalizes and eliminates fuel pressure spikes present throughout the fuel system during the initial ignition and start-up of a Cummins diesel engine. The Snubber Valve limits and...

Do I still need a Snubber valve on my 2003-2009 Dodge Ram if I have an aftermarket lift pump (Fass, Airdog, etc)?

Yes, a Snubber valve is still required to be installed with our sensors even with aftermarket fuel systems. A fuel pressure spike can occur from the factory injection pump on the Cummins engine back feeding into the fuel system.

What would happen if I don’t use the snubber valve?

With any Dodge diesel vehicles there is pressure spike when you first start the vehicle. If you do not have a snubber valve installed the pressure spike will cause the sensor fail.

How do I install the Fuel Pressure Sensor if I have an aftermarket lift pump on my 03-09 Dodge Cummins??

Most aftermarket lift pumps offer a test port that will allow the snubber valve and sensor to be screwed into. We would suggest confirming this with your specific pump.

What pressure range should I get for reading fuel pressure on a 2003-2009 Dodge Ram Cummins?

During the research done here at Glowshift we have found a Cummins engine in a 2003-2009 Dodge Ram can range anywhere from 10 to 25 PSI. We would recommend installing a 0-30 PSI fuel pressure gauge and a snubber valve to protect the sensor from...

How can I install a Transmission Temperature Sensor on a 2007.5-2009 Dodge Ram with the 68RH/RE transmission?

Based on our research, Glowshift has determined the 68RH/RE transmissions are not equipped with a test port location. Due to there not being a test port location, this leaves us with only two installation methods. 1. Cooler Line: This method will...

Can I install a Transmission Temperature sensor in a 2003-2007 Dodge with a manual transmission (NV5600 or G56)?

A Transmission Temperature gauge can not be installed into a Manual transmission. The reason is due to manual transmissions being a sealed unit. The manual transmission also only obtains enough fluid in the case to cover all the synchros once the...

Which adapter will I need for my vehicle to install my transmission temperature gauge?

2003 - 2007.5 48RE Transmissions either a test port extender or Transmission T-Fitting can be used. 2007.5 - 2009 68RFE Transmissions ONLY a Transmission T-Fitting can be used.

How accurate will the reading be if I ‘T’ off the transmission cooler line?

Both the T-Fitting installation, as well as the test port location will give very accurate results. However, installing the T-fitting in the transmission cooler feed line is the most accurate option

What happens if I don’t use the test port extender for my 03 - 07.5 Dodge Ram?

If a Test Port Extender is not used there is the possibility of the transmission temp sensor coming in contact with the internals of the transmission. This could possibly cause major damage to your transmission as well as damage the sensor.

I have a 03-07.5 48RE Transmission - should I use the Test Port Extender or the T-Fitting? Is one more accurate than another?

With a Transmission temp gauge you could install the sensor either in the test port or using the T-fitting. Both readings will be very similar. However, the Transmission cooler feed line is normally considered an ideal source

Will the 2006-2009 Dodge Ram Quad Pillar Gauge Pod fit a 2003, 2004, or 2005 Dodge Ram (1500/2500/3500)?

In 2006, Dodge made slight modifications to the dash which allows for a Quad gauge pod to be installed. Due to the way the pod meets the dash the quad pods will not work with 2003, 2004, 2005 year trucks.
