If I install an Oil Pressure or Oil Temperature sensor in my factory sensor location on my 1999-2007 Ford Superduty, will it cause a check engine light?

During the testing here at Glowshift, we have found on some trucks when the factory oil pressure sensor is removed it will not cause check engine light, however, we have seen applications where an engine light will come on.

Is the 1999-2007 Super Duty Pillar Pod a complete replacement?

The 1999-2007 Super Duty A-pillar pod is not a complete replacement. This will require you to remove your factory trim from the vehicle and secure our pod directly to the factory trim. Gauge Pillar Pod Mounting Instructions

Will the 1999-2007 Superduty pod work on a 2000-2006 Ford Excursion?

The 2000-2006 Ford Excursion Gas or diesel trucks have the same front interior as the 1999-2007 Super Duty Pick-up trucks. This means our Glowshift 1999-2007 Super Duty A-pillar pods and triple dash pods will work with the Ford Excursions.

Can I keep my grab handle with the 1999-2007 Dual, Triple, Quad Pillar Pod?

Unfortunately, the grab handle equipped on the 1999-2007 Super Duty factory A-Pillar trim will have to remove when installing Glowshift’s 1999-2007 Super Duty Dual, Triple, Quad Pillar Pod. Gauge Pillar Pod Mounting Instructions

Can I install the 1999-2007 Four Gauge Pillar Pod and the 1999-2007 Three Gauge Dash pod?

Unfortunately, The 1999-2007Super Duty Triple Dash Pod will not work with the 1999-2007Quad Pillar Pod as the 4th gauge mounting cup prevents the dash pod from mounting properly.

Will gauges work on a Gasoline (5.4L or V10) 1999-2007 Super Duty?

Glowshift and MaxTow Series Gauges will work with both Gasoline and Diesel applications. The 1999-2007 Super Duty Pods will also work with the F-250 equipped with the gasoline 5.4L and 6.8 V10 Engines.

Which Boost Installation method is more accurate, Drilling and Tapping,‘T’ing into the MAP line, or Air Heater Plug?

They will all pick up the same reading so it is really up to the customer as for which method to install the boost hose or sensor.

Is there a particular spot on the intake Spyder that I should drill and tap?

You can drill and tap anywhere on the intake Spyder and you will get an accurate reading

Do I need to use the GlowShift 7.3L Power Stroke Fuel Pressure Adapter when installing to the Fuel Filter Housing?

Yes you would need to use this fitting.

Is there another way I could install the fuel pressure sensor?

GlowShift does offer T-Fittings you may use to ‘T’ into the fuel line. Our T fitting would only work on a soft line and it would have to be ½” or ⅜” diameter hose line.

Where is the best location on the Exhaust Manifold to drill and tap?

You can drill and tap anywhere on the exhaust manifold and it will provide you with an accurate reading.

Is there another way I could install the Transmission Temperature Sensor?

Glowshift does also offer a Transmission Cooler Line T-Fitting in sizes ⅜”, ½”, or ⅝”. You would be required to identify the size of your transmission cooler line if you would prefer to install the sensor in this manner. Both the T-Fitting...

Do I have to drill holes on the factory A-Pillar for the gauge wiring?

If you had a grab handle once you remove that you should be able to run the wires through the holes there. If you do not have a grab handle you would need to drill holes to run the wires through.

Is there any other way to install the Boost Gauge on my 6.0L Ford without drilling and tapping?

There is another option if you do not wish to drill and tap you can use our T fitting which can be tapped into the MAP line.

If I am installing the fuel pressure sensor at the fuel filter port, do I have to use the 6.0L Adapter?

Yes, the sensor will not thread into this port correctly. You will need to use the adapter for this type of installation.
