Will removing the Intake Air Heater Plug effect my vehicle in any way?

The IAH is not used for anything other than the purpose of reducing white smoke at idle on a cold engine. There are specific parameters that have to be met in order for the heater to turn on. These would include that ambient air temperature being below freezing, the oil temperature has to be below 131 degrees Fahrenheit and having the vehicle in park. By removing this system, it allows an accurate boost reading without permanent modifications to your truck.
