Do I need a Test port Extender on a 1997-1997 Dodge with the 47RE Transmission and why?

Yes, a ⅛-27 NPT test port extender is required when installing our sensor into a 47RE transmission. The reason for the extender is due to the test port location on the transmission is too shallow and could cause the internals of the transmissions to damage our sensor.
