Why do my GlowShift gauges have both a constant power wire and an ignition power wire?Updated an hour ago
GlowShift gauges require both a constant 12V power source and a switched 12V ignition source because each serves a different purpose.
Constant 12V Power Wire: Connects to a continuous power source to retain memory settings, such as the selected backlight color on compatible models. It also controls the gauge’s background lighting.
Switched 12V Ignition Wire: Connects to a power source that turns on and off with the ignition. This wire controls the needle lighting and turns the gauge on and off with the vehicle’s ignition.
Connecting both wires to the appropriate power sources helps ensure your gauges operate correctly and their lighting functions as intended.
