GlowShift Boost Gauges can be installed on diesel trucks using several different methods. GlowShift offers a variety of vehicle-specific Boost Adapters for many light-duty diesel applications, providing an easier installation without drilling and tapping the intake manifold.

If a Boost Adapter is not available for your application, you can drill and tap the intake manifold to install the Boost Gauge line. For a 1/8"-27 NPT fitting, use an R-size drill bit and a 1/8"-27 NPT tap.

Both a Boost Bolt Adapter and drilling and tapping the intake manifold can provide accurate Boost Gauge readings. There is no single “best” installation method; however, drilling and tapping the manifold can be more involved.
