What is an Oil Filter or Oil Cooler Sandwich Adapter, and what is it used for?Updated 3 hours ago

An Oil Filter or Oil Cooler Sandwich Adapter installs between the engine block and oil filter, providing convenient access points for installing oil pressure or temperature sensors, feed lines, or an aftermarket oil cooler without drilling into the oil pan, relocating the oil filter, or modifying the factory oil system.

Oil Filter Sandwich Adapters feature multiple 1/8" NPT ports, allowing you to install oil sensors and feed lines in various locations.

Oil Cooler Sandwich Adapters are specifically designed for connecting an aftermarket oil cooler and feature two AN-10 fittings, two 1/8" NPT ports, and 3/8"-19 oil feed and return ports.

Most GlowShift Oil Filter and Oil Cooler Sandwich Adapters are compatible with oil filters having a gasket diameter of 3" or less. A specific adapter is also available for Chevy Small Block 305/350 engines with a 13/16"-16 thread, which requires a 4" gasket diameter.
