No. Expandable Circuits are not required to install your GlowShift Gauges, and you are not limited to the fuse locations listed in the installation instructions.

When using an Expandable Circuit, you can install it into any fuse location rated up to 20 amps, provided the location supplies the appropriate type of power needed for the gauge.

GlowShift recommends using Expandable Circuits because they make installation easier and provide convenient access to the required constant and switched power sources. Both a constant 12V power source and a switched 12V power source are required for the gauge to operate properly.
