GlowShift gauges automatically dim when the orange wire from the gauge power harness receives a switched 12-volt power source. We do not recommend connecting this wire to an adjustable dimmer wheel or variable-voltage lighting circuit. Reducing the voltage can cause the gauge to flicker or flash because it is not receiving sufficient power.
